I grew up in the Omak region, and have called North Central Washington home for the better part of my life. I attended the University of Washington, where I received a Bachelor of Science in Geology and a minor in Physics. I further attended Central Washington University and earned Professional Teaching Certifications in Earth Science, Physics and Broad Science.

I have been formally teaching since 2003, yet I have also had the pleasure of informal teaching in other venues such as the Pacific Science Center and the Museum of Science and Industry

The experience I have outside of education mainly encompasses electronics and engineering endeavors with organizations such as the US Air Force (1), NASA/JPL (1,2,3,4), Synrad (1), nLight Photonics (1) and various University research projects (1,2,3,4).
